First Draft Film + Evaluation

This is the title and intro of our short documentary, following the logo introduction. The font is sleek, elegant and simplistic reflecting the overall style of our short documentary. The design is smooth, this is particularly enunciated by the sharp geometric shapes in the skyline above. I feel this is a particularly effective introduction and see no further room for improvement. 

The statistics are fairly straightforward, referenced in yearly reports showing national averages and etc. I decided to keep the design fairly minimalistic and simple as there is no need for flashy or intricate designs and we have decided as a group to keep it that way.

I feel the filler shots could be improved with more substantial content which is what we will be doing over the weekend: getting more 'filler' shots of up-close-and-personal examples of reckless driving.

This is a particularly moving shot as the constantly moving waves are a reflection of the business and restlessness of Qatari society, particularly Qatari youth who are continuously on the look out for some stimulating activities. The lack of such is what leads them to opt for dangerous activities like dune bashing. The depressingly grey-tone shades in the picture symbolise the grittiness and gloominess associated (at least, that we associate) with reckless driving and its consequences.
